Fujitsu Stylistic 1200 wins 1998 Mobility Award
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — April 27, 1998 — Fujitsu Personal Systems, Inc. (FPSI) the market leader in Windows pen tablet computers, today announced that its Stylistic 1200 has captured the 1998 Mobility Award, given to the most innovative and successful mobile products of the year. This marks the second consecutive win for FPSI: the Stylistic 1000 earned the award last year.
In a ceremony sponsored by Microsoft at the Mobile Insights '98 Conference, Mobile Computing & Communications Magazine and Mobile Insights named Fujitsu's Stylistic 1200 this year's Mobility Award recipient in the Industrial Pen Tablets category. The award committee includes more than 30 editors and analysts who specialize in mobile computing and communications.

The Stylistic 1200 is the first broadly applicable pen tablet to come with a Pentium processor (120 MHz), as well as the first to include Universal Serial Bus (USB), a 128-bit video controller and Zoomed Video. The Stylistic 1200's lithium-ion battery offers the longest battery life in its class
– up to five hours.
