Notable and CompuServe Team Up to Offer Out-of-the-Box Functionality

FOSTER CITY, Calif. — January 18, 1994 — Notable Technologies Inc., a leading developer of communications software for personal communicators, and CompuServe Inc. Tuesday announced a bundling agreement to include a CompuServe introductory membership with Mobile Access – Personal.

The CompuServe Information Service provides access to nearly 2,000 information and communication resources. Mobile Access – Personal is a robust host communications application for the AT&T EO Personal Communicator and compatibles. The introductory membership includes one month free of basic services (an $8.95 value), plus a $15 usage credit for extended and premium CompuServe services.

"Our goal is to empower the mobile professional through location independent information access. Because CompuServe is one of the most ubiquitous worldwide information delivery services, the addition of the service to our package helps achieve that goal," said Dave Larson, vice president of marketing at Notable.

"Using an AT&T EO Personal Communicator, Mobile Access and CompuServe, a mobile user can connect from anywhere, anytime via wired or wireless connection to access important information as well as perform virtually, an endless variety of transactions. Users can place buy and sell orders with online brokers, access news, weather, even check flight times, book reservations and much more."

In addition, users can send mail to any Internet, MCI Mail, AT&T Mail, AT&T Easylink, SprintMail, Infonet, Deutsche Bundespost, Novell Netware MHS or cc: Mail address.

Mobile Access software makes a fast and elegant connection between mobile computers running PenPoint and online information services, bulletin board services and virtually any host-based computer environment. Product is available now, through over 300 computer resellers nationwide, Office Depot and direct from Notable by calling 800/450-2030. The CompuServe introductory membership is also available to all customers who have previously purchased Mobile Access. From LAN Magazine:

"Products of the Year are LAN Magazine editors' choice awards. Qualifying for consideration for Products of the Year is deceptively simple for manufacturers. Companies do not have to fill out forms or be nominated.

"The only requirements for Products of the Year: A manufacturer must have introduced or updated the product in 1993; the product must be great. Products of the Year recognizes the efforts of the product manufacturers." (LAN Magazine, February 1994 pg. 41).
