‘Best of COMDEX/Fall’ Awards Presented by BYTE Magazine and The Interface Group

LAS VEGAS — November 18, 1992 — Adobe Acrobat, a multi-platform electronic publishing file format, took top honors today for 'Best of Show' and 'Most Significant Technology' at the fourth annual ''Shelly Award'' presented by BYTE magazine and The Interface Group at the COMDEX/Fall show.

BYTE editors selected and presented these awards to winners and finalists in ten major product categories, including newly created ''Most Significant Technology'' categories.

Called ''Shellys'' after Sheldon G. Adelson, the creator of COMDEX and Chairman/CEO of The Interface Group, the awards honor outstanding new computer products and technologies introduced at COMDEX/Fall in Las Vegas.

The awards were presented by BYTE editor-in-chief Dennis Allen and Sheldon Adelson.

BYTE editors decided, upon seeing the quantity and quality of the printers introduced at COMDEX, to create a category recognizing best new printers.
