Metrowerks Ships French Language Version of CodeWarrior Version 6.0 for Mac OS and Windows
December 5, 2000 — Metrowerks today announced a version of its CodeWarrior(R) Version 6.0 development tool set for French-speaking customers worldwide.
The tools, as well as all printed documentation, are written in French. In addition, Metrowerks is making online help available in French for the first time.
The tools include an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), compiler and debugger, and support C, C++ and Java application development on both Mac OS and Windows.
"The availability of the new French language version of CodeWarrior is a reflection of our increased focus on international markets and customers," said Greg Stoner, vice president of marketing, Metrowerks. "We believe these tools will enhance productivity for our French speaking customers by providing them with a native language version of our award-winning CodeWarrior development environment."
The products are available in Mac OS and Windows standalone versions, as well as a combo package featuring both versions. CodeWarrior Version 6.0 for Mac OS allows users to quickly develop reliable, professional quality software applications that execute on Classic Mac OS or the new Mac OS X, and also provides the ability to migrate applications from Classic Mac OS to Mac OS X.
Also included is support for debugging applications that have been written to take advantage of multi-processor systems. For Windows users, Version 6.0 includes enhanced ANSI/ISO C++ compliance, improved debugging, improved Java support and improved cross target support to Mac OS.

The French language versions of CodeWarrior for Mac OS, Version 6.0 and CodeWarrior for Windows, Version 6.0 are each priced at US $499 MSRP (U.S. manufacturer suggested retail price). The combined package of CodeWarrior for Mac OS and Windows, Version 6.0 is priced at US $699.00 MSRP. The products are available through participating resellers.
