General Magic Announces New Company Executives Enhancing Internet Industry Management
SUNNYVALE, Calif. — May 8, 1996 — General Magic, Inc. (Nasdaq: GMGC) today announced that it has named Robert Kelsch as president and chief operating officer, and has also named Marty Coleman as vice president of marketing communications. Kelsch, who is responsible for setting General Magic's overall product strategy and managing day-to-day business operations, reports to Marc Porat, chairman and chief executive officer. Coleman is responsible for the company's overall marketing strategy and communications, and will report to Kelsch.
Kelsch, who has served as General Magic's chief operating officer and executive vice president for the past six months, was also named to the company's Board of Directors. Coleman, former Sun Microsystems communications director, has an extensive 16-year career, including Internet, enterprise computing and microprocessor industry marketing communications experience.

Coleman has a wide array of technology, business and public marketing communications experience. Prior to joining General Magic, Coleman was director of Sun Microsystem's public relations department where she led the effort to manage Sun's external image in a variety of markets and geographies worldwide.
