Lexis/Nexis Service Available on AT&T PersonaLink Services and on Sony’s Magic Link Personal Communicator

NEW YORK — September 28, 1994 — Mead Data Central has teamed with AT&T (NYSE: T) to introduce two new LEXIS(R)/NEXIS(R) products to be offered through AT&T PersonaLink(SM) Services and available on Sony's Magic Link personal communicator, a new mobile communicator device based on the Magic Cap operating platform.

The Daily News Summary, now available, is delivered free each morning to AT&T PersonaLink subscribers. The Daily News Summary provides an overview of major news items containing both national and international stories as well as business news. In addition, stock market closing, key index statistics, US dollar conversion rates and treasury data can be reviewed. National sports scores are also listed as well as a US weather map which graphically shows the weather across the country and lists regional highs, lows and conditions for specific cities.

The iMMEDIATE! ANSWERS(TM) Store, available by year end through AT&T PersonaLink Market Square(SM), is an electronic information store where subscribers can browse through a wide variety of topics including: Stress Management; Planning Your Will; Investment Opportunities; Elder Care; and European Vacations. Subscribers can purchase information packets which contain articles pertaining to the chosen topics and then receive them via several delivery methods. The information for the iMMEDIATE! ANSWERS information packets is retrieved from more than 2,300 full-text news and business information sources available on the LEXIS/NEXIS services.

The LEXIS/NEXIS services are developing additional products that will be available in future releases. One of these will allow users to create their own personal information profiles which will be used to continually monitor hundreds of news sources available on the LEXIS/NEXIS services.
