Betsy Reagan Named GRiD Vice President
FREMONT, Calif. — December 10, 1991 — GRiD Systems Corp. has named Betsy Reagan vice president of market development, a newly created position.
Reagan will head GRiD's OEM (original equipment manufacturer), software and international sales operations and direct the firm's new consumer sales program being established through Computer City superstores.
She will also be responsible for GRiD's VAR (value-added reseller) and ISV (independent software vendor) programs.
GRiD president D. Bruce Walter said, ''There is a great demand for GRiD desktop, laptop, notebook and pen computing products, and Reagan has been charged with developing new markets for these products. She is well qualified to expand GRiD's sales efforts beyond the company's traditional direct sales and government channels.''
Reagan, 33, formerly served as GRiD's director of marketing services, district sales manager for Northern California and branch sales manager in the San Jose area. Reagan, who came to GRiD from IBM, holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Arkansas.
She will be relocating from the San Jose area to GRiD offices in Dallas.
GRiD designs, manufactures, markets and services laptop, pen-based, desktop and multimedia computers, pen-based software development tools, electronic mail and networking systems. GRiD, located at 47211 Lakeview Blvd., Fremont, also has offices in the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Spain, Sweden, France, Belgium and Denmark.
