Radiomail on the ARDIS Network Now Available on Motorola’s Marco Wireless Communicator

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 4 — January 4, 1995 — RadioMail Corporation, a leading provider of two-way wireless E-mail, information and communications services announced today that its services will be bundled with the new Motorola (NYSE: MOT) Marco(R) Wireless Communicator. RadioMail services on the Marco product — Motorola's integrated two-way wireless communicator based on Newton(R) Intelligence — start as low as $39 per month.

With RadioMail, Marco wireless communicator users can send E-mail and access information services over the ARDIS nationwide wireless data network — whether they're sitting in a hotel lobby, waiting in an airport terminal between flights, or stuck in a cab in city traffic.

"This is truly a revolutionary breakthrough in wireless communications," said D. Bruce Walter, RadioMail president and CEO. "RadioMail on the Marco wireless communicator is great for individuals that need to stay in contact with their corporate offices and customers when traveling. The Marco product's small form factor combined with RadioMail wireless information services over the ARDIS network is a perfect package for accessing late-breaking headline news bulletins and keeping in touch with personal financial investments."

When the Marco wireless communicator sends a message, it travels to one or more towers on the ARDIS network, to the RadioMail gateway, and from there to its destination — another Marco product user, a RadioMail member's notebook computer, a wired E-mail mailbox on the Internet, a fax machine or a pager.

With RadioMail, Marco users can send each other more than just wireless text messages. They can take advantage of the advanced features of Newton(R) Intelligence and exchange text, scribbles or hand-drawn pictures from the Notepad, Name Cards from the Address Book, and Appointments or To-do lists from the Date Book. This wireless information exchange is ideal for mobile work groups such as couriers and field service personnel.

"Using RadioMail on the ARDIS network, Marco users will have the added benefit of nationwide coverage, seamless roaming and store and forward message capability combined with the robust Newton operating system," said Rob Euler, vice president of business development for ARDIS. "These features will prove invaluable to the mobile professional."

RadioMail nationwide service starts at only $39 per month for up to 100 messages of 240 characters each.

Pricing options for RadioMail on the ARDIS network range from $39 to $139 per month based on customer usage patterns. RadioMall on the ARDIS network is available through hundreds of ARDIS-authorized agent locations nationwide.
