RadioMail Selected to Participate in G-7 Technology Conference
BRUSSELS, Belgium — February 15, 1995 — RadioMail Corporation has been chosen by the European Commission to participate in the G-7 conference on the Information Society.
RadioMail Corporation will demonstrate RadioMail — its two-way wireless communications and information service — to a select gathering of international government and telecommunications officials in Brussels, Belgium. The demonstration will take place at the G-7 Information Society Conference, February 25-26.
The Information Society showcase is being organized by the European Commission to support the meeting of the G-7 ministers and leading industrialists. The theme of the meeting and the showcase is "The Information Society" and will examine the evidence of, and prospects for, applications that are increasingly transforming the way people live and work across the globe. The G-7 exhibition will feature demonstrations from selected companies from each of the G-7 nations and will focus on seven themes: education, health, work, culture, transport, leisure and tourism.
"We are honored to participate in this historic international event," said D. Bruce Walter, president and CEO of RadioMail. "From our perspective, this is further evidence that RadioMail is becoming the de facto worldwide standard for two-way wireless messaging."
RadioMail at Levers of Change and Hospital Setting
RadioMail Corporation will demonstrate how wireless technology is changing the ways mobile professionals and everyday citizens can communicate and instantly access information over the air. Working in cooperation with BellSouth Corporation and RAM Mobile Data of Belgium, RadioMail will be showcased in the Levers of Change and Hospital setting. G-7 ministerial delegates, media and other attendees will be able to use RadioMail to exchange wireless e-mail with colleagues who are on the Internet or any major on-line service, and send wireless faxes to fax machines around the world. They also will be able to obtain U.S. stock market information and headline news over-the-air, without connecting to phone lines.
