Wireless Telecom Inc. to Distribute Motorola’s AirMobile Wireless Software for cc:Mail
AURORA, Colo. — September 11, 1995 — Wireless Telecom Inc. (WTI), the nation's leading provider of mobile data network products and services, Monday announced the immediate availability of Motorola's AirMobile Wireless Software for cc:Mail through WTI.
This is an extension of the product offerings covered by the existing agreement between Motorola Wireless Data Group and WTI.
AirMobile Wireless Software optimizes Lotus cc:Mail Mobile for the wireless environment and allows access to e-mail at any time, from any location where wireless packet data service is available.
"Motorola's AirMobile Wireless Software for cc:Mail gives the wireless data industry a crucial link to a mainstream application," said Rob Balgley, vice president, sales and marketing, Wireless Telecom.
"The ability to put the functionality of one of the nation's most popular e-mail packages into the hands of mobile professionals creates an immediate sales potential for WTI resellers. The fact that it is network and hardware independent increases its appeal in solution offerings."
"It is an ideal fit for us to work with WTI for the distribution of the AirMobile software because of their exclusive focus on wireless data and their excellent handling of the distribution of other Motorola Wireless Data Group products," said Jon Nachinson, national sales manager.
"In addition to Motorola's AirMobile software, Motorola's Envoy, Marco, InfoTAC and Personal Messenger products are also available from Wireless Telecom."
Motorola's AirMobile software consists of wireless communications tools and technologies that are based on an industry-standard common architecture. The architecture, optimized to meet the communication challenges of wireless environments, ensures that AirMobile products and those products that support its architecture will run on most of today's leading packet data networks.
This allows users to easily move from the local area to wireless environments while maintaining a high level of performance and reliability.
