CAMPBELL, Calif. — April 23, 1997 — ParaGraph International, Inc. today announced the availability of CalliGrapher(TM) 4.3 for Windows(R) CE, providing highly accurate handwriting recognition and spell checking for all applications developed for the Windows CE operating system.
CalliGrapher 4.3 users can write information directly into the screen of their handheld personal computers.
This is often a more effective input option than typing. CalliGrapher's integrated spell checker can be used for all applications running under Windows CE. CalliGrapher does not require users to memorize special symbols or change their writing style. It is a "universal" recognizer which understands how people normally write — natural cursive or print, as well as mixed cursive and print handwriting. Based on fuzzy logic and neural network techniques, CalliGrapher recognizes dictionary and non-dictionary words as well as arbitrary symbol sequences.
