Hitachi is demonstrating products ranging from the SuperH 32 bit RISC microprocessor for handheld PCs and other portable products to enterprise-wide peripherals and electronic cash devices for 21st century applications.
New products include a handheld computer (HPC) based on Microsoft's Windows CE software, the MPEG-1 digital full-motion video camera — the world's first such camera and the Mx-series flagship communications notebook.
In addition, Hitachi is exhibiting Japan's first XGA-compatible 25-inch color plasma display and introducing the latest DVD-ROM drive, 3.5-inch disk drives for workstations, fast Ethernet devices for the workgroup switching market and high-capacity data storage systems.
