Case Acquires Agricultural Software Maker Agri-Logic to Expand Technological Capability of Case’s Advanced Farming Systems Group
RACINE, Wis. — February 28, 1997 — Case Corporation (NYSE:CSE) has acquired Agri-Logic, a leading developer of software for agricultural applications. Terms of the agreement were not announced.

"This acquisition enhances our Advanced Farming Systems line of products for customers practicing site-specific farming and keeps Case IH at the forefront of agricultural technology."
Case purchased Agri-Logic, based in Brazil, Indiana, from Fluid Power Industries. Agri-Logic has built a reputation within the agricultural industry for yield mapping software that is easy-to-use and for outstanding product support. Its Instant Yield Maps and Instant Survey Professional software programs are recognized for their wide-spread compatibility. They will accept data from multiple brands of equipment for yield-map generation.
"The compatibility of Agri-Logic's products is consistent with our stated objective of maintaining an open architecture environment, giving farmers the freedom to utilize data collected from various sources and equipment," said Jim Stoddart, vice president, Case IH Advanced Farming Systems.
The company recently introduced the first mapping software for hand-held computers equipped with Microsoft's new Windows CE operating system. "This new hand-held computer mapping software is a major innovation both for agriculture and other industries," Stoddart added.
Agri-Logic also makes software for advanced applications, such as crop planning.
