DTS Wireless Promotes Purchase of Windows CE Devices with ZAP-IT Wireless Service through PC EXPO Special

NEW YORK — June 12, 1997 — DTS Wireless is joining Windows CE manufacturers and New York retailers to promote its ZAP-IT wireless messaging service for Windows CE devices through a special promotion to begin at PC EXPO.

The company is offering a $ 225 coupon towards its new Super Bundle ZAP-IT Starter Kit when purchased with any Windows CE device. The starter kit, a $ 529.90 value, simplifies the purchase and activation process by including ZAP-IT messaging software, annual service activation, and a U.S. Robotics AllPoints(TM) Wireless PC Card — in one box for one price.

"Quick Deal" coupons are available at PC EXPO, June 17-19, and honored through June 30, 1997, at New York retailers: DataVision, International Business Solutions, RCS Computer Experience and UnPlug.It. All specialize in products for the mobile user and carry a variety of portable computing devices. Orders can also be placed with each retailer over the phone and shipped anywhere in the United States.

"Leading Windows CE manufacturers and New York retailers have joined our effort to make it easier and less expensive to enhance the capabilities of Windows CE devices with wireless messaging," said Neil Lewis, vice president of marketing for DTS Wireless.

PC EXPO attendees can pick up coupons at any of the following booths: Casio (No. 228), Hewlett-Packard (No. 3910), NEC (No. 4346), Philips (No. 2262), and U.S. Robotics (No. 3962), as well as International Business Solutions (No. 1040) and RCS Computer Experience (No. 2680). Quick Deal coupons are also available at the DTS Wireless booth (No. 677), or through the company's web site, www.dtswireless.com . The offer expires June 30, 1997.

"PC EXPO presents a special opportunity for us to reach a large number of our target audience to promote the convenience of wireless messaging," Lewis said. "With the growing popularity of mobile computing, we're making it easier for people to keep in touch with e-mail, fax and phone messages with ZAP-IT, and we're encouraging people to see the benefits for themselves."

ZAP-IT, the most full-featured wireless messaging service available, allows subscribers to send and receive e-mail, preview messages before downloading, maintain a single 800 number for incoming fax and phone messages, customize fax documents using prestored attachments and letterhead, and access Web pages to view text.

Founded in 1992, DTS Wireless is a leading provider of wireless messaging services for mobile professionals in both small business and corporate markets. ZAP-IT for mobile professionals is available for any hand-held computing device running Windows CE, any laptop running Windows 95 or Windows 3.1 and HP 100/200 LX series palmtops. Service is activated within 24 hours of submitting an on-line application at www.dtswireless.com or, subscribers may call 1-888-243-8387.
