ONYX Software Announces Immediate Availability of Microsoft Outlook Integration Solution

ONYX Connect for Microsoft Outlook allows employees to seamlessly integrate their Outlook-based scheduling and contact management with their ONYX-based, enterprise-wide customer management activity. The end result for sales professionals is improved sales productivity and higher sales effectiveness through streamlined information management. Among the key features included in ONYX Connect are:

— The ability to download contact information from ONYX Customer Center into Microsoft Outlook. This enables remote users to download Customer Center information into their US Robotics(R) PalmPilot and all Windows CE handheld devices for central, mobile access to critical customer information.

— Direct access and retrieval of information stored in Customer Center from within Microsoft Outlook. By clicking a button on the Outlook toolbar, users can search the ONYX database for contacts and automatically add those addresses into Outlook's email address lines. A similar button has also been provided for Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

— The automatic insertion of Customer Center activity reminders into the Outlook Calendar. "ONYX's Outlook integration is just one more example of how ONYX's commitment to Microsoft products and customers is enabling more rapid development of the key features sales people need today," said Doug Stumberger, product manager in Microsoft's Collaborative Applications and Platform Group.
