JetForm Upgrades Market-Leading Electronic Forms Suite
WASHINGTON — September 8, 1997 — JetForm(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: FORMF), the global leader in enterprise workflow and electronic forms solutions, today announced JetForm Design(TM) 5.1, JetForm Filler(TM), and JetForm Filler Pro(TM) 5.1, the company's flagship suite for creating, filling, and printing intelligent electronic forms. General availability of the software is scheduled for the end of this month.
The new versions, unveiled at JetForum(TM) '97 — the company's first annual international user conference — provide a variety of new tools, features, and functionality that significantly expand the scope and capability of JetForm's market-leading E-form solution. Among the many new improvements are JetForm Forms Explorer(TM) for managing the distribution of up-to-date electronic forms, expandable text fields, and plug-in application support for Microsoft(R) Internet Explorer(TM).

JetForm Design 5.1: Easier Manageability, Broader Standards Support
JetForm Design is the company's sophisticated graphical development tool for creating dynamic, intelligent, and visually appealing electronic forms with built-in "smart" selection lists, dynamic subforms, graphics, logos, and more. With version 5.1, JetForm Design adds:
— JetForm Forms Explorer — JetForm Forms Explorer is an administrative tool for organizing a consistent group of forms and data files within a corporation. These links enhance the form filling capabilities of the JetForm Filler products by making it easy to locate the forms necessary for everyday activities. It supports environments such as Microsoft Exchange(TM), Lotus Notes(R), and FTP sites, in addition to local and network drives.
— Support for JetForm Filler on Microsoft Windows(R) CE — JetForm Design can now create E-forms for use on popular handheld PCs.
— Support for JetForm Central(TM) 5.1 — Forms designed with JetForm Design 5.1 can take full advantage of the new features of JetForm Central 5.1 (please refer to the JetForm Central 5.1 news release, also issued today for further details).
— New Settings For International Users — JetForm Design 5.1 now includes the ability to select between North American or International installations. Each selection uses different dictionaries, paper sizes, and units of measure to support different standards.
— International RSA Encryption — JetForm Design 5.1 supports international encryption of data and messages using technology from RSA Data Security, Inc., the world leader in cryptography technology. It also supports RSA digital signatures and e-mail signatures as well.
JetForm Filler and JetForm Filler Pro 5.1
JetForm Filler and JetForm Filler Pro are the world's leading electronic forms-filling software, enabling users to quickly and easily enter, route, and print information in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost of paper forms. With version 5.1, JetForm Filler and JetForm Filler Pro now include support for:
— Forms Filling on Microsoft Windows CE — JetForm Filler is now available for the Microsoft Windows CE platform, enabling mobile users to quickly complete forms from handheld PCs.
— Microsoft Internet Explorer — JetForm Filler and JetForm Filler Pro now run as a plug-in application from Microsoft's Web browser.
— Expandable text fields — Users of JetForm Filler and JetForm Filler Pro 5.1 will be able to exploit expandable text fields that grow or shrink to accommodate the precise amount of data that they contain.
— Lotus mailing protocols — JetForm Filler and JetForm Filler Pro now work with Lotus cc:Mail(R) versions 6 and 7, as well as Lotus NotesMail 4.5.
— Document management systems — JetForm Filler and JetForm Filler Pro 5.1 continues their support for popular document management systems, including Documentum(R) and PC Docs(R). This enables users to "check-in" and "check- out" electronic forms as needed.

JetForm Design 5.1, JetForm Filler 5.1, and JetForm Filler Pro 5.1 will be available September 30 on Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. JetForm Filler is US$99; JetForm Filler Pro is US$149; and JetForm Design is US$495.
