Communication Intelligence Corp. Announces Shipment of Handwriter for Windows 95
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. — February 6, 1996 — Feb. 6, 1996– Communication Intelligence Corp. (CIC) (OTC Bulletin Board:CICI) announced today the release of Handwriter for Windows version 2.0 which is optimized for Microsoft's Windows 95.
Handwriter for Windows version 2.0 is expected to be available in retail stores across the country in March 1996. This is the first product to be distributed under the marketing and distribution agreement with Gemini Industries Inc. which was announced Jan. 3, 1996.
Handwriter for Windows version 2.0 includes support for both Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. "The support for Windows 95 is a critical step underlying our retail product launches. Support for both Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 is perceived as crucial in the retail environments which serve the vast Windows 3.1 installed base as well as the growing population of Windows 95 users," said Michael McFarland, CIC's president and chief operating officer.
Handwriter is the computer input peripheral which brings the benefits of pen input to millions of desktop and laptop PC users. Handwriter makes using the PC as simple and natural as pointing, drawing, and writing with the pen, allowing users to maximize their comfort and creativity. Handwriter includes hardware (ultra-thin graphics tablet, ergonomic cordless pen) and a powerful software suite, including Microsoft's Pen Extensions for Windows and the newest version of CIC's handwriting recognition software.
