Communication Intelligence Corporation Announces Support for a New Class of Devices Powered by Windows CE, Handheld PC Professional Edition
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. — October 8, 1998 — Communication Intelligence Corporation (CIC) (Nasdaq:CICI) announced today its support for a new class of devices powered by the Windows CE operating system, Handheld PC Professional Edition, the third-generation software from Microsoft Corp. for the Handheld PC (H/PC).
CIC's current offerings for the platform include the Jot(TM) handwriting recognition system, CIC Speller(TM), and QuickNotes(TM) software solutions. The company alunced its intention to continue to enhance it's product offerings to include next generation pen input technologies designed for the unique requirements of the Handheld PC Pro Edition software.
CIC intends to license these software solutions to manufacturers, and end users planning enterprise wide deployments of these new pen enabled devices running Windows CE, Handheld PC Professional Edition software.
