GeoWorks Ensemble Receives Four Awards at Software Publishers Association Awards Ceremony
BERKELEY, Calif. — March 25, 1991 — GeoWorks Ensemble, created by GeoWorks of Berkeley, took top honors at the Software Publisher's Association (SPA) Excellence in Software Awards ceremony, winning in four categories, including Best New Use of a Computer, Best Consumer Program, Best Personal Productivity/Creativity Program, and the Critics Choice Award for Best Consumer Program.
Over 250 products were nominated for the 23 awards given out at the annual awards banquet in San Francisco. Winners of SPA awards were selected by the membership, and critics choice winners were chosen by the press.
"GeoWorks Ensemble won in 4 catagories against some pretty stiff competition," said Ken Wasch, SPA executive director. "This fact serves as a testament to the originality and technical excellence of the product."
