ARDIS
The Lincolnshire, Illinois provider of nationwide wireless data service recently announced that Dan Croft has been named senior vice president, marketing operations. Croft assumes responsibility for ARDIS’ marketing programs, customer service, and distribution channel strategy, among others. Prior to joining ARDIS, Croft held general management and marketing positions for 12 years in the cellular telephone industry.
General Magic
The Sunnyvale developer of the innovative Magic Cap and Telescript technology announced several moves and changes in the past month. First, Joanna Hoffman, General Magic marketing director and early executive has left the company to spend more time with her family.
Following the company’s recent restructuring, Steve Schramm has been named vice president and general manager of the newly formed Magic Cap division. Schramm was previously vice president of engineering.
Also, as part of the restructuring, Lucia Hicks-Williams has been named vice president and general manager of the Telescript division. Hicks-Williams was formerly vice president of product marketing and strategic planning.
Finally, Bill Keating will assume the position of vice president and general manager of the newly created worldwide field operations division. Keating was previously vice president of sales and customer engineering.
