PenUltimate to Unveil New Software at COMDEX/Fall ’92

October 28, 1992 — Paul Mondschein, president and CEO of PenUltimate Inc., (OTC:PULA), a leading developer of pen computing soft-ware, announced Wednesday that PenUltimate will introduce three new pen software applications at the Fall Computer Dealers Exposition (COMDEX), an international trade show for computer distribution professionals to be held Nov. 16-20 in Las Vegas.

PenUltimate is the only pen-exclusive software developer to be publicly traded.

The three new applications — SalesForce, a pencentric sales and marketing program for the horizontal market; C.O.P.S. (Computerized Officer Processing System), a system of mobile applications for law enforcement personnel; and Bed-side Manner, a pen-based application for health care practitioners — will be exhibited at the GO Corp. and Microsoft booths during the expo.

“Each of these three products will demonstrate PenUltimate’s commitment to a ‘total solution’ development strategy,” stated Mondschein. “That is to say, products that incorporate both mobile, pencentric applications for the tablet environment and connectivity with host systems.”

PenUltimate’s horizontal market strategy begins with a customer-driven approach to sales and marketing automation. The SalesForce system offers true portable mobility for field sales as well as a complimentary application for linking with the corporate host office. The system is designed to furnish a total solution in today’s corporate sales environment by providing key groups in a business organization access to personal and executive level sales information and sales management tools.

SalesForce’s component applications, SalesForce:Field and SalesForce:Corporate, offer users access to more comprehensive personal and corporate sales data — the only such pen software to address these specialized needs.

On the vertical front, PenUltimate is targeting key vertical industries seen to be early adapters of pen computing technology. C.O.P.S. is an application suite which provides law enforcement personnel with a mobile solution for solving data management and reporting problems. A complimentary solution is also available for central site usage.

Bedside Manner is a comprehensive software solution for physician and medical facilities who seek to implement more cost effective and mobile information management applications.

For the retail market, which is expected to emerge in early 1993, PenUltimate is designing “ProActive,” a personal information manager. In addition, PenUltimate will continue to accept and evaluate requests for custom applications and pilot projects.

Listed in the OTC Bulletin Board, PenUltimate is the first and only pen applications software developer to be publicly traded and has approximately 5.79 million shares outstanding. Currently, PenUltimate is a certified Go Corp. PenPoint Developer, Member, Slate Corp. Certified Developer Program; Member, IBM Corp.’s Pen Developer Program; and Member, NCR Corp.’s Pen Developer “Software Alliances.”
