Telxon Corporation to Bundle CIC’s Handwriting Recognition Software with Handheld Pen Computers

February 26, 1996 — Communication Intelligence Corporation (CIC)(OTC/BB: CICI) announced today that another major handheld computer manufacturer has standardized on CIC’s handwriting recognition software.

Telxon Corporation is bundling CIC’s Handwriter Recognition System (HRS) with all of its Windows based handheld pen computers. CIC’s HRS is considered the leading handwriting recognition software for Windows.

“Telxon is a valuable customer for CIC. It is a global leader in the wireless mobile computing market, in which pen input has become increasingly important. We are pleased with its decision to bundle our HRS with all of its Windows-based solution,” said Michael McFarland, CIC’s president and chief operating officer.

Telxon joins a growing list of manufacturers of handheld computer products including Fujitsu Personal Systems Inc., and Symbol Technologies, which have adopted CIC’s HRS as their standard for handwriting recognition software on the Windows for Pen Computing platform.
