AllPen Software Teams with Philips Mobile Computing Group to Bundle of AllPen’s Windows CE Software Product
LAS VEGAS — November 18, 1996 — AllPen(R) Software, Inc., a company specializing in custom handheld PC and PDA software development for Fortune 1000 firms, today announced the bundling of their "AllPen Mobile Forms Database" product with the Philips Velo(TM) 1 handheld PC based on the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) CE platform. AllPen's product, targeted at the mobile data collection and corporate intranet user, is a powerful forms-based data collection and mobile database solution. AllPen and Philips are demonstrating the application in the Philips (Booth No. L2625), as well as within AllPen's booth (Microsoft Corp. "Partner Pavilion" Booth No. L2212-F2) at the COMDEX '96 tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada this week.
The AllPen Mobile Forms Database product allows users to create their own customized forms; without the need for a desktop application. Custom forms are created on the Windows CE-based device to precisely fit the users database requirements. Field types are easily defined and pre-set default responses can be entered, saving time when entering repetitive data. Field types include text, note, number, pop-up menus, radio buttons, and checkboxes.
