America Online Continues Lead in Mobile Computing Market
NEW YORK — September 28, 1994 — America Online (Nasdaq-NNM: AMER) announced today that it will provide a customized edition of its service pre-loaded on Sony's Magic Link PIC-1000 personal intelligent communicator. Subscribers to America Online will be able to access affordable, easy-to-use services including e-mail, top news, business and sports as well as stock quote and portfolio information from Sony's Magic Link personal intelligent communicator, based on the Magic Cap(TM) platform.

America Online subscribers using the Sony Magic Link communicator will be able to access online support via e-mail for the personal communicator and the Magic Cap platform. Additionally, a Sony online area will be available soon for America Online desktop users that will offer online support, general company information, independent software vendor support and message boards for Magic Cap based products.
