LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — December 11, 1995 — ARDIS today announced new Mobile Office rate structures for popular messaging and electronic mail applications that offer aggressively-priced wireless solutions for mobile professionals.

With packages starting as low as $ 19.95 per month, the ARDIS Mobile Office program sets a new standard of affordability for wireless e-mail solutions.

Effective Jan. 1, 1996, ARDIS will offer four new Mobile Office packages tailored to meet a range of customer usage patterns, from 20 kilobytes (KB) to 750 KB and greater of data usage per month. Applications supported in the Mobile Office program are messaging and e-mail solutions for LAN connectivity such as ARDIS PersonalMessaging, AirMobile Wireless for Lotus cc:Mail from Motorola, Mail-on-the-Run! from River Run Software Group, MobileVision from CE Software and RadioMail from RadioMail Corporation.

ARDIS PersonalMessaging is designed to address the wireless communication needs of mobile work groups who require cost-effective, real-time communication. APM offers interactive, peer to peer wireless messaging.

AirMobile Wireless for cc:Mail, an extension to Lotus cc:Mail Mobile for Windows, provides a comprehensive suite of wireless e-mail capabilities that offer transparent wireless operations to mobile users. With ARDIS air time services and AirMobile Wireless Software for cc:Mail, users can instantly send and receive e-mail wirelessly, manage business contacts and maintain continuous contacts with colleagues across the US.

Mail-on-the-Run! enables mobile professionals to use the Motorola Marco and Envoy wireless communicators to access industry-popular E-mail systems, Microsoft Mail and Lotus cc:Mail.

Mobile Vision works with Motorola's Marco Wireless Communicators to provide QuickMail users wireless access to their local area network mailboxes.

RadioMail provides Internet gateway, domestic and international wireless faxing, on-demand headline news service and operator assisted messaging service capabilities.

On December 4, ARDIS and Motorola's Wireless Data Group announced limited-time pricing incentives for Motorola's Personal Messenger(tm) 100D wide-area, two-way wireless modem cards. "People have been impressed by the Personal Messenger device but some were reluctant to purchase at a $ 700 price tag," said Steve Giblin, home office buyer, J&R Music World/Computer World. "With these combined price promotions from Motorola and ARDIS, our customers can now purchase a Personal Messenger for $ 399 which enables them to go wireless using their own portable computers — for less money."
