BellSouth Joins Metricom as co-sponsor of Mobile Outlook Exposition and Conference

NEW YORK — December 29, 1994 — BellSouth, a leader in the field of mobile and wireless communications, will join Metricom, a provider of wireless data communications services, as co-sponsors of the first-ever Mobile Outlook(TM) Exposition and Conference, which will be held January 18-20, 1995 in Atlanta's Cobb Galleria Centre.

This three-day exposition and conference, presented by Kotch & Poliak of New York City and designed and led by mobile and wireless communications expert Andrew Seybold, will be the first mobile technology event to have an end user orientation, focusing on practical solutions, rather than simply on products to be purchased. In addition to BellSouth's co-sponsorship, James C. Hobbs, Vice President, BellSouth

Mobile Data, Inc., will serve as one of the keynote speakers, headlining the conference day entitled "Facilitating Business by Implementing Mobile Systems," Hobbs will cover both available technology and that soon to come on-line in his address entitled "Wireless Technology 1995." Other keynote speakers will be Robert Dilworth, President and CEO, Metricom, Inc., speaking on "Keys to Sucess and Wireless Data," and Lou Panetta, Executive Vice President, Fujitsu Personal Systems, Inc., who will address the topic, "How Mobile Do You Want to Become?" End User Focus to Add Value for Attendees

"Our goal for Mobile Outlook is to put attendees in touch with key industry leaders in order to gain the information they need to implement a mobile communications program in their own companies," comments Rita Kotch, Executive Vice President, Kotch & Poliak, exposition producers. "Nothing about this three-day event is going to be theoretical. Attendees will be given the opportunity to try the technology and to really get their hands dirty. Our focus is on what technology can do for you and your company, rather than simply on technology for the sake of technology," she concludes.

Mobile Outlook(TM) will also be co-sponsored by Mobile Office, a publication focusing on wireless and mobile communications. Kotch & Poliak has more than 60 years of experience producing targeted industrial expositions and conferences, with many recent events focusing on high technology products and processes for the end user.
