CIC Ships Machandwriter and Announces Successful Desktop Pen Computing Product Launch
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. — February 14, 1994 — Communication Intelligence Corp. (CIC) (NASDAQ-NMS: CICI) announced today that its consumer product for the Macintosh market — MacHandwriter(R) — is now shipping. The product, a desktop peripheral, includes CIC's consumer proven Handwriter(R) Recognition System, CIC's PenMac(TM) pen operating environment, a state-of-art electronic pen and an ultra-thin graphics tablet. MacHandwriter provides many benefits to desktop Macintosh users such as lower learning costs, ultimate efficiency in editing, greater comfort and creativity, and reduced risk for tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome.

CIC Handwriter(R) for Windows(TM) started shipping late November 1993 and has experienced a high degree of user satisfaction and favorable editorial comments. "Over 99% of our users experience little or no difficulty in using CIC's Handwriter(R) Recognition System and we expect that MacHandwriter will realize similar success. CIC is currently marketing its desktop pen computing products through telemarketing and experiencing a sales closure rate above 66%," concluded Dao.
MacHandwriter is available from CIC through a direct sales effort in North America. MacHandwriter and Handwriter for Windows have a suggested retail price of $399.
