Communication Intelligence Corp. Announces Co-development Agreement with Justsystem
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. — December 4, 1991 — Communication Intelligence Corp. (NASDAQ:CICI) Wednesday announced a cooperative development agreement with Justsystem Corp., Tokushima, Japan, a major PC application software company and Japan's dominant supplier of word processing software and front end processors (FEP) which convert kana to kanji characters.
The agreement will result in a Japanese version of CIC's PenDOS Operating Environment and will allow for the rapid development of pen-aware and pencentric applications for the emerging Japanese pen computer marketplace.
Upon completion of the joint development, CIC will offer its Japanese Handwriter Recognition System and Japanese PenDOS with an API (Application Programming Interface) to third parties. Justsystem will provide ATOK, the Kana Kanji front end processor, which will interface with PenDOS.
