GeoWorks Jumps into Japanese PC Market; Signs Exclusive Agreement with Aisys Corp.
BERKELEY, Calif. — July 13, 1992 — GeoWorks Monday announced an exclusive partnership with Aisys Corp., an experienced marketing and sales organization headquartered in Tokyo, which will have Aisys representing GeoWorks in the dynamic Japanese PC market.
GeoWorks is the developer and publisher of the acclaimed GEOS (Graphical Environment Object System) graphical operating system and the award-winning graphical environment and applications package, GeoWorks Pro. The GEOS graphical operating system not only excels on standard desktop computers but is also ideally suited for the impending "Fourth Wave" of low-cost, handheld and pen-based computers.
Aisys is an experienced computer idustry marketing and sales organization, boasting a client list that includes AT&T Microelectronics, Pyramid Technology, and Adaptive Solutions.
