Hybrid Networks Appoints Daniher New President, COO & Godbole, Zeletes Named Executive Vice Presidents
SAN JOSE, Calif. — September 15, 1998 — Hybrid Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: HYBRE), a leading broadband access equipment company, today strengthened its management team with the appointment of William M. Daniher as president and chief operating officer and the promotions of Victor R. Godbole and Jane S. Zeletes to executive vice presidents.
Daniher joined Hybrid in May as vice president of business development. He brings to Hybrid executive level networking industry experience in operations, information systems and financial management. Daniher succeeds Carl S. Ledbetter as president and adds the responsibilities of chief operating officer, a new title at Hybrid. Ledbetter remains chairman of the board, chief executive officer and acting chief financial officer.
Godbole joined Hybrid last year as vice president of engineering, following extensive experience in the data and telecommunications business. Zeletes also joined the company last year, bringing a record of significant accomplishments in product management and marketing in the telecommunications industry.
"This management team provides the leadership necessary to obtain the results to make Hybrid successful in the fast-paced cable and wireless systems marketplace," Ledbetter said.
Daniher joined Hybrid following three years of increasingly responsible executive positions with AMP, Inc. Most recently he was vice president of finance and chief financial officer of AMP's networking product division in Santa Clara, Calif., which was engaged in developing ATM, DSL and Ethernet networking products. He also managed the division's medical imaging businesss. Earlier, he was general manager of AMP's Passive Products division in Palo Alto, Calif., which manufactures passive fiber optic components for cable TV, telco and OEM customers.
Prior to AMP, Daniher was vice president of finance and chief financial officer of EO, Inc. Earlier, he was a senior associate at Technology Strategies and Alliances, a consulting and investment banking firm in Menlo Park, Calif., serving technology driven clients.
Daniher earned his bachelor of business administration degree with honors in finance at the University of Notre Dame and a master of business administration degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
Godbole, now executive vice president of engineering, joined Hybrid in 1997 following five years with Sierra Semiconductor Corporation, a provider of data and telecommunications components, where he most recently was vice president of strategic planning and systems engineering. He earned his bachelor of technology degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India, and his master of science degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University.
Zeletes, now executive vice president of sales and marketing, had served as Hybrid's vice president of marketing since 1997. Earlier this year, she was assigned additional responsibilities for worldwide sales, and network operations, the company's after sale customer service organization. Prior to Hybrid, she directed business management opportunities at US WEST Wireless. Previously, she served for six years in various management positions at AT&T, most recently as group manager of cordless telephones, a business unit of AT&T's consumer products division. Zeletes earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
