Leading SFA Software Developer Adds Windows CE to Sales Portfolio Solution Offering

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — November 19, 1996 — Thinque Systems Corporation, a leading Microsoft Application Developer, announces today that they are supporting the new Windows CE environment for their Sales Force Automation software. Thinque's SFA software is currently used by CPG industry giants like Nestle, Keebler and Seven-Up, Thinque Systems is renown for being first to market with advanced mobile data processing solutions.

"We believe that Microsoft Windows CE will be the standard operating environment for those customers interested in lower cost, handheld PC devices for their field based workers," comments Joe Nassour, CEO of Thinque Systems. Nassour adds, "By incorporating Windows CE into our development environment, Thinque is able to offer customers a standard, mobile, service-based software solution that customers can easily afford using the PDA-type handheld PC devices. Prior to Windows CE, these simple applications were only available on older, proprietary handheld hardware that were expensive niche products of 1980s technology."

Thinque Systems will be providing two new products immediately available for Windows CE. Thinque's first Windows CE product will be a solution for simple order entry. This will allow a sales rep to enter an order and transmit to the central server using wireless cellular or dial-up communications. This product provides customers a very low cost solution for automating a sales force with basic order entry requirements.

The second product Thinque will be providing is a solution designed for Delivery personnel. This software will allow a delivery driver to receive a delivery order. Once the delivery is made, the driver will be able to record adjustments, and print out a new invoice for the customer, complete with significant capture. The adjustment information will then be transmitted back to the central server for processing.

These Windows CE Products will be provided to the market, as all standard Thinque software products, as configurable modules that customers may select and customize according to their individual business requirements. Thinque's Windows CE Products will be designed under the Company's standard mobile data processing architecture and will be available 1st Quarter 1997.
