Metrowerks CodeWarrior Wins Prestigious Byte Magazine 1997 Editors’ Choice “Award of Excellence”
SAN FRANCISCO — January 7, 1997 — Metrowerks Inc. (NASDAQ:MTWKF, TSE/ME:MWK), one of the world's leading providers of software development tools, today announced that its flagship product, CodeWarrior(R) Gold 10, has been awarded the Byte Magazine 1997 Editors' Choice "Award of Excellence."
This is the second time in four years that Metrowerks CodeWarrior has won this prestigious award.
All PC, Macintosh(R) and Unix software and hardware products are eligible to win the Byte Editors' Choice Awards. The "Awards of Excellence" are the highest ranking awards accorded by the Editors of Byte Magazine and are intended for products which "showcase technical innovation that sets a new standard for a product class."
Only eleven "Awards of Excellence" were granted in 1997 by the Byte Magazine Editors who selected CodeWarrior for its unified front-end which "makes it easy to develop applications for Be(TM), Palm(TM), Pilot(TM), MagicCap(TM), Windows(R) and embedded applications."
