Microsoft Windows CE-based Handheld PC Demonstrated Receiving Financial Data Over the Internet at DWT ’97

LONDON — April 30, 1997 — Display.IT Holdings plc. (OTC Bulletin Board Symbol: DYITY) confirmed its leadership position in the delivery of Internet-based financial information to new generations of end user devices at the Dealing With Technology '97 ("DWT") exhibition and conference.

At the event the company previewed the Display.IT system delivering Internet-based information to a new handheld PC manufactured by Hewlett-Packard and running Microsoft's latest Windows CE operating system.

Microsoft Windows CE has the same look and feel as Windows 95 and runs on a variety of handheld PCs. Display.IT's Windows-based application now runs on Windows CE-based handheld PCs, bringing low cost access to valuable financial data, sourced from the Internet, in a consistent format which is easy to manipulate and analyze.

Display.IT first announced its intention to port the Display.IT Internet financial data interface to Windows CE 1.1 in late January 1997. Now, just three months later, the software is being demonstrated in live operation to prospective customers.

Peter Levin, CEO and Managing Director, Display.IT says: "Although neither the Windows CE operating system nor the HP handheld PC is yet available, this demonstration gives an exciting illustration of these new technologies and their capabilities. With significant Windows CE-based product launches scheduled for 1997, Display.IT is clearly well positioned, to immediately ship a proven and demonstrable software solution."
