Nationwide Wireless Internet and Intranet Access Available on Microsoft Windows CE Platform

MORRISTOWN, N.J. — February 27, 1997 — GoAmerica Communications Uses Bellcore Software to Offer New Service

GoAmerica Communications Corp. ("GoAmerica"), a wireless Internet and intranet service provider, is now offering commercial availability of their service using the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) CE platform, running a fully integrated application called AirBrowse(TM) mobility solution, Bellcore announced today. AirBrowse is part of Bellcore's AirBoss(TM) family of advanced software solutions for mobile end users. Windows CE is Microsoft Corp.'s new operating system platform for handheld devices. Using Bellcore's AirBrowse software, GoAmerica turns the new Windows CE devices into true communications tools. The GoAmerica service plans, starting at $ 14.95 per month, allow users to access their corporate Intranet or the Internet while they are out of the office.

Bellcore is part of Microsoft's Windows CE Developer program, which brings together leading hardware and software companies committed to developing products for the new category of handheld PCs. Bellcore has ported the AirBrowse software to work with the Pocket Internet Explorer, which comes with all Windows CE devices. "We recognize the potential that the Windows CE platform has as a powerful tool for corporate communications. The combination of GoAmerica's service with our AirBrowse software truly gives mobile users plug-and-play access to vital information," said Dave Pepe, executive director of Bellcore's Wireless Business Unit. "By working with Bellcore, we are able to provide wireless access to corporate intranets and the Internet. GoAmerica's low cost service offerings are solving the connectivity issues for corporations, enabling their mobile work force to have continuous, cost effective access to corporate information," said GoAmerica president, Aaron Dobrinsky.

"Wireless connectivity has never been more affordable and now, with the advent of these handheld devices, ease of connectivity is no longer an issue. By providing a nationwide wireless service with no roaming fees, which only charges users for the transmitted information and not connect time, GoAmerica is turning wireless access to corporate intranets into corporate productivity."

In Sept. 1996, Bellcore announced an agreement to provide personal communications software that would enable GoAmerica to offer a unique assortment of wireless services. The GoAmerica service has been available nationally since Nov. 1996 to laptop users running Windows 95. GoAmerica offers wireless intranet and Internet service on Windows CE devices via the RAM Mobile Data network, which is a nationwide packet data network. Bellcore and GoAmerica will be featuring these Wireless products and services at CTIA's Wireless '97 exhibition, March 3-5, in San Francisco, Calif. (Booth No. 6413). GoAmerica Communications Corp., headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, is a nationwide wireless service provider, enabling business access to the World Wide Web and corporate intranets. GoAmerica provides an integrated suite of services including wireless Web access, Email Plus and value-added information services.

The service which utilizes the AirBoss suite of software works with any Windows based laptop product or Windows CE device, across various wireless transports, including RAM and CDPD, and standard browsers.
