New Mapping Utility Aids Travelers Using the Texas Instruments Avigo

DALLAS — April 23, 1998 — Texas Instruments today announced the availability of a new mapping utility for users of Avigo, TI's award-winning personal information management organizer.

When installed on a PC, users can launch the Mapper for Avigo to retrieve maps for U.S. addresses by entering information about a specific location.

The maps are downloaded from the Internet to their PCs, then transferred and stored on Avigo. Those without Internet access while traveling will appreciate Avigo's ability to store several maps.

"Whether traveling once a quarter or once a day, this mapping utility will equip Avigo users with information to assist them on the road," said Bob Pospick, product line manager, Texas Instruments. "Maps can be adjusted-to- scale to include a large area, or details of one city block."

Avigo users can download the new Mapper for Avigo utility free from TI's Web site at www.ti.com/avigo.
