PC/Computing Announces Nominees for MVP Awards
FOSTER CITY, Calif. — October 2, 1991 — PC/Computing today announced the list of nominees for the magazine's annual Most Valuable Products (MVP) awards.
The winners of this year's MVP awards will be announced on Sunday, October 20, at Comdex/Fall in Las Vegas.
Hosting this year's awards ceremony will be contributing editors Jim Seymour and John C. Dvorak, as well as Penn & Teller. Penn Jillette, who currently appears Off-Broadway, writes the Micro Mephisto column in PC/Computing.
Mike Edelhart, PC/Computing's Editor-In-Chief and Publisher, said, ''The MVP awards recognize PC products which change the way people work or change the way companies do business. The emphasis is on solving real-world problems and providing genuinely useful value. If a product also happens to use advanced technology, that's fine. But, that alone isn't enough to win an MVP.''
