Pendragon Software Announces New Handheld Database Software Tools for OEMs and Integrators

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. — May 1, 2000 — Pendragon Software today announced a new distribution option for its popular forms software for the Palm Computing(R) platform. The Pendragon Forms(TM) Distribution Toolbox provides a royalty-free distribution license for mobile database solutions created with Pendragon Forms. In addition, the Distribution Toolbox allows re-branding of runtime components suitable for OEM applications.

Pendragon Forms(TM), already in use at thousands of corporations worldwide, brings powerful database capabilities to Palm OS(R) organizers. The software supports bi-directional synchronization with Microsoft Access and ODBC data sources yet is extremely easy to use.

With the Distribution Toolbox, developers can quickly take custom applications built with Pendragon Forms and extract a corresponding set of redistributable components. These components can be re-branded to reflect OEM or VAR marketing requirements, then integrated into installation scripts for distribution. The Distribution Toolbox also provides simple tools to assist OEM's in enforcing their own licensing schemes.

Pendragon Forms runs on the latest Palm Computing devices including the Palm IIIc, Palm V, Palm VII and Symbol Technologies SPT-1500 and SPT-1700.

Pendragon Forms Distribution Toolbox will ship in April 2000 and will be priced at $995. Developers can begin developing today using the current version of Pendragon Forms. An evaluation version of Pendragon Forms available for download from the Pendragon Software Web site at http://www.pendragonsoftware.com .
