PenUltimate Strikes New Marketing Partnership with GRiD
IRVINE, Calif. — February 5, 1993 — Bob Scoville, executive vice president of sales and marketing for PenUltimate Inc., a leading developer of pen computing software, Friday announced that PenUltimate has been accepted as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) marketing partner by Grid Systems Corp., the leader and innovator for mobile computing hardware.
Listed on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol (PULA), PenUltimate is the first and only pen applications software developer to be publicly traded.
Grid will be working in close collaboration with PenUltimate to present combined hardware/software solutions to Grid's customer base. PenUltimate's company profile and applications will be entered into the Solutions Catalog which is distributed to the Grid sales force on a quarterly basis. Other aspects of the partnership will include joint sales calls and joint marketing ventures.
''We'll be working as closely as possible with PenUltimate to expand our mutual market shares,'' stated Bob Ryan, Grid's general manager, applications systems division. ''We want PenUltimate to take full advantage of Grid's national sales force so as to help us sell a complete solution package to our new and existing clients.''
Grid is a pioneer in mobile computing, having introduced the first notebook and tablet-sized computers to the marketplace. Grid continues to be the hardware leader in pen computing with the introduction of the Grid Convertible, the first combined pen-keyboard laptop machine, at the COMDEX convention last November.
