RadioMail Announces Global Expansion, Plans for 50% Employment Increase Over Next Six Months; New Executives Lead Worldwide Initiative

SAN MATEO, Calif. — May 31, 1995 — RadioMail Corp. announced the first stages of its global expansion program today, including the hire of three executives: Victor Maxted, Vice President, Engineering and Operations, Roger Fisher, Director of Sales, and Clemens Wolbers, Director of International Business Development.

The group will be integral to the company's aggressive worldwide growth strategy. RadioMail also announced that it will add up to 25 new staff positions, effectively increasing it size by 50% in the next six months.

"Victor, Roger and Clemens's combined expertise and experience are invaluable to RadioMail, and their hire is one of our first steps toward worldwide sales growth."

RadioMail has recently established offices in the Netherlands, Singapore and Sidney to capitalize on market potential in Europe, Asia and Australia. The company recently participated in the G-7 Information Society showcase in Brussels, where it was the only U.S.-based wireless message and information service provider invited to demonstrate its products and technology to the world's economic and political leaders.

Victor Maxted, Vice President of Engineering and Operations, most recently served as Vice President, Network Operations – Western Region, for MCI Telecommunications. His accomplishments there include the upgrade of technology and capacity to the region's network, as well as significant improvements in the company's service to the region. Prior to his work with MCI, Maxted founded VMC Consulting after serving as vice president of engineering at Tolerant Systems and a stint at Fortune Systems in the same capacity. Maxted began his career at Raytheon, where he left as Director of Engineering – Network Systems Operation. He obtained advanced degrees in Engineering Management and in Advanced Management from Harbridge House in Cambridge, Mass. Maxted reports to D. Bruce Walter, President and CEO.

Roger Fisher, Director of Sales, comes to RadioMail from SunPro, the software development tools business unit of Sun Microsystems, Inc. As director there, he developed worldwide sales including channel and customer development. He previously served as International Sales Manager at ParcPlace Systems, Inc., led international sales for Communications Solutions, and functioned as product manager at Visicorp. Fisher launched his career at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he held a variety of positions. Fisher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Pepperdine University, and obtained his MBA in Management from Golden Gate University. He reports to Steve Rand, Vice President, Marketing and Sales.

Clemens Wolbers, Director of International Business Development, joins RadioMail from Motorola, where he was Managing Director of Motorola's start-up paging operations in Germany. In Germany, he led a joint venture which acquired nationwide paging frequencies to enable the operation of a nationwide paging service. Before that, Mr. Wolbers was responsible for business development throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Motorola's International Networking Division. Prior to joining Motorola, Mr. Wolbers was a manager with the German Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
