Seventeen ISV Partners Join MobileSoft’s New Electronic Software Distribution Channel
SUNNYVALE, Calif. — May 12, 1997 — MobileSoft today announced seventeen ISV partners who will support its new electronic software distribution (ESD) channel, which was also announced today, with Windows CE titles. The titles will be available through the new MobileSoft web site at www.mobilesoft.com, via a CD-ROM in retail stores and bundled with handheld PCs from many of the leading manufacturers. The initial offerings provide productivity, communications, entertainment, handwriting recognition and information management software for handheld PC users.

"We're excited they've chosen to be a part of our new software channel, which we believe will provide a highly convenient way for handheld PC users to access the latest in Windows CE software."
The seventeen ISV partners will provide over 25 software titles developed specifically for the Windows CE operating system. Advanced Recognition Technologies, Communication Intelligence Corporation and Paragraph International are providing handwriting recognition software. Communications software will be offered by AdageUS, Ilium Software, and Rukson Software. Software to provide conversion capabilities will be available from Puma Technologies and Surerange Analysis.
In the area of productivity software, offerings are available from Imagineering, Odyssey Computing, Iambic Software, Marathon Development Corporation, Maximizer Technologies and Landware. In addition, Purple Software will offer a chess game and AllPen and Cognitive Technology Corporation will provide information management software. In many cases, MobileSoft is the exclusive source for titles from these software developers.
