Simple Technology Announces Compatibility Approval With Windows CE for Mobile Computing Products
SANTA ANA, Calif. — February 5, 1997 — Continuing its technology leadership position in the memory module and PC Card marketplace, Simple Technology, Inc., today announced that its products have earned the Designed for Windows CE logo for compatibility approval with Microsoft's Windows CE operating system designed for mobile computer users.
The announcement means that Simple Technology's 33.6 Communicator data/fax modem, ATA Flash PC Cards, CompactFlash Cards and Miniature Flash Cards will plug 'n play with the new breed of Handheld PCs (H/PCs) and consumer electronics using Windows CE.
Windows CE is an open, scaleable Windows platform for a range of communications, entertainment and mobile computing devices that can communicate with each other, share information with Windows-based PCs, and connect to the Internet.
