TelePad Selected By Entex Information Services To Be Mobile Product Platform Vendor
HERNDON, Va. — May 16, 1995 — TelePad Corporation (Nasdaq: TPADA) today announced a significant enhancement of its distribution channels as a result of its selection by ENTEX Information Services as a vendor of mobile computing products for field force workers. ENTEX is the largest provider of desktop and network computing solutions to Fortune 2000 companies, and is a primary supplier to federal, state and local governmental agencies.
TelePad expects a summer rollout of its new TelePad 3, which ENTEX Product Manager Tony Detora cited as "the ultimate technology for field force workers." According to Detora, ENTEX selected the TelePad 3 because of its "portability, combined with its capability to communicate wirelessly and adapt to varied environments with its pen interface, detachable keyboard, and voice recognition and audio support."
ENTEX distributes products for eleven other mobile product manufacturers — MM, Digital, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Apple, AT&T, Toshiba, AST, NEC, Fujitsu, and Texas Instruments.
