ZAP-IT Streamlines Incoming Messages with New Personal Toll-Free Number
WOODBRIDGE, N.J. — April 28, 1997 — Business associates, colleagues and friends now have easier access to ZAP-IT subscribers with a new enhancement that allows callers to leave a variety of messages via a subscriber's personal toll-free number.
After hearing a subscriber's personalized greeting, callers may send a fax, leave a message with an operator, or leave a recorded voice message – all through the same toll-free number. Alert messages are then sent wirelessly to a subscriber's ZAP-IT Inbox.
The enhancements to ZAP-IT's full-featured e-mail capabilities are part of the company's ongoing efforts to strengthen communication capabilities for mobile professionals.

"ZAP-IT subscribers can now consolidate their incoming messages from multiple sources – whether they are e-mail, faxes or phone messages – and respond to them any time and any place on a variety of popular portable computing devices."
