Maxtor Corp.—The San Jose, California-based manufacturer of storage devices announced that the company’s board of directors elected Dr. C.S. Park as president and chief executive officer. Dr. Park replaces J. Larry Smart who resigned to pursue other interests.
Maxtor also promoted Katherine Curtin Young to senior vice president of worldwide operations. In addition, the company announced that Patrick Ngo has been appointed president of Maxtor Asian Operations and managing director of Maxtor Peripherals Singapore.
QUALCOMM, Inc.—The San Diego, California-based developer of digital wireless technologies and services named John Sarto vice president of sales and marketing for its OmniTRACS Divisions.
Clearnet Communications Inc.—The Ontario-based developer of Canada’s first fully integrated digital wireless network announced the appointment of Eros L. Spadotto to the newly established position of vice president, engineering and network services.
