Maxtor Corp.—The San Jose, California-based manufacturer of storage products named Katherine Curtin Young as senior vice president of worldwide materials. Young was previously a vice president at AST Research, Inc.
Maxtor also announced that Mike Flood has been appointed vice president of quality.
Intel Corp.—Flash memory is a growing division within Intel. Reflecting this, Intel has named William Howe as vice president of the semiconductor products group and general manager of the memory components division.
Howe replaces Richard Pashley who returns to a senior technical position within the Folsom, California-based division.
MiniStor Peripherals Corp.—The maker of small form factor disk drives announced that Randy J. Peterson has assumed the position of senior vice president of marketing.
Peterson previously served as acting general manager and director of product management for Compaq DirectPlus, the direct marketing operation of Compaq Computer Corp.
