Scriptel Corp.—The Columbus, Ohio subsidiary of Scriptel Holding Inc. has named Jack Salvato as vice president of sales and marketing. Salvato has served at several companies throughout his career including Burroughs Wellcome, Bristol-Myers, and Abbott Laboratories.
Solectek Corporation—The developer of the AIRLAN CAN wireless campus area network announced that Dr. Jonathan Y. C. Cheah has joined the company as vice president of engineering.
Prior to joining Solectek, Dr. Cheah served as director of engineering and senior principal engineer at Hughes Network Systems, a supplier of VSAT and digital communication systems.
Coloray Display Corp.—The Fremont, California-based flat panel display division of Scriptel Holding Inc. has announced that Dr. Portia Isaacson has joined the company’s board of directors. Dr. Isaacson is currently president of Dream IT, Inc., a publisher of computer business information, and served as a former Microsoft director.
Phoenix Technologies Ltd.—The developer of system-level firmware announced that Robert J. Riopel has joined the company as vice president of finance, chief financial officer, and treasurer.
Mr. Riopel joins the firm at its new Santa Clara, California headquarters. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Riopel worked at Open Vision Technologies and served as vice president of finance at Silicon Graphics International Division.
Maxtor Corp.—The San Jose, California-based maker of disk drives appointed two new vice presidents: Nelson Diaz was named vice president of quality, and Kimberly Cuff was selected as vice president of human resources.
Both will report to the almost equally new president and CEO, Dr. C. S. Park.
