Apple Computer, Inc.—Shane Robison has been appointed vice president and general manager of the Personal Interactive Electronics (PIE) Division. Robison replaces Joseph A. Graziano as head of the division, and reports directly to Apple president and CEO, Michael Spindler.
SunDisk Corp.—The Santa Clara, California-based manufacturer of PCMCIA memory cards has named Cindy Burgdorf as chief financial officer. Before joining SunDisk, Burgdorf spent 14 years at Intel Corp. in positions including controller of the components group, and corporate controller.
Proxim Inc.—Brian Bolton was named vice president of marketing at the Mountain View, California wireless equipment manufacturer. Proxim also named Warren A. Hackbarth to the position of vice president of sales.
Symbol Technologies—The Bohemia, New York manufacturer of portable data terminals, bar code readers, and RF communication equipment has elected Charles B. Wang to its board of directors. Wang, chairman and chief executive officer of Computer Associates International Inc., increases the number of board members to nine.
Advanced RISC Machines Ltd.—The Cambridge, England maker of RISC processors named Timothy J. O’Donnell as president of its North American operations, Advanced RISC Machines of Los Gatos.
