RAM Mobile Data—The wireless service provider has named William F. Lenahan as president and chief executive officer. RAM Mobile Data is a partnership between BellSouth Corp. and RAM Broadcasting Corp.

Mr. Lenahan replaces R. Douglas MacIntyre who served in the dual position since June.

Nextel Communications, Inc.—The wireless company has announced that Joel Schleicher will head the company in January, 1995. Mr. Schleicher currently serves as executive vice president, and president of the company’s SMR Operations.

AT&T—The diversified computer and communication company announced that Craig McCaw, the founder of its recent acquisition McCaw Cellular Communications, would not join AT&T’s board of directors as earlier planned.

Part of the reason may be Mr. McCaw’s interest in pursuing other communication related projects, including a nine billion dollar satellite communication systems called Teledesic Corp. Teledesic also lists Microsoft chairman Bill Gates as a major investor.
